  I do environmental portraits because I believe that photography is meant to represent reality, without artifice. Therefore, I do not shoot in a studio. Instead, the subject and I go through a conceptual process in which we determine what location and posing strategy are meaningful with regard to who he/she/they is/are. In the case of Jane, this bride was determined to be determined, as well as making a determinant career in education.
